The World Open Water Swimming Association (WOWSA) brings you Ocean Fest 2019.
Location: All events within Seaside Lagoon & the beach right next to the Redondo Beach Pier. Three days and so many events!

2PM – 5PM Goal Setting with Ned Denison
- Led by Ned Denison the famed International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame Inductee and founder of Cork Distance Week.
6PM – 8PM – Welcome Dinner @ King Harbor Yacht Club
- To celebrate the elite club of swimmers who have accomplished the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
SATURDAY, OCT 5TH

Ion Lazarenco Tiron
MAN OF THE YEAR
- First person from the republic of Moldova to achieve the Oceans seven
- Completed a 100km 3-day stage swim called the Swim of Peace on the river Prut to celebrate 100 years of unity between Moldova & Romania
- Nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize

Aleksandra Bednarek
WOMAN OF THE YEAR
- The 20-year-old Polish swimmer from Lodz set two International Winter Swimming records
- Association world records in the 50m and 200m breaststroke
- Aleksandra also completed a Catalina Channel crossing in 12 hours and 7 minutes

Ross Edgley
PERFORMANCE OF THE YEAR
- The British celebrity author swam a 157-day circumnavigation around the coastlines of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland
- With the help of Red Bull Media House, his detailed documentation of the conditions were educational and inspirational

OFFERING OF THE YEAR
- Joesef Koberl, president of the Ice Swimming Association Austria, with Italian Paolo
- Chiarino, Dane Sinne Lundgard organized the world's first high-altitude glacier swim camp in Austria's Hintertuxer Gletscher
